Keeping Members In Touch with The CU Connector:
In honor of Anita Cooper, the credit union and members congratulated her last week as she retired Thursday, June 24th after 33 years of service to the GPCE Credit Union membership. The staff of GPCECU and FSUCU planned an entire week of celebration for Anita and invited staff and the membership to participate.
Monday was Member Appreciation Day where members could come into the branch throughout the day to wish Anita well in her retirement and enjoy some snacks!
Tuesday was “Thanks a Million” Day where employees joining Anita in the morning for a nice breakfast gifted her a Thanks a Million-themed basket to brighten up her day! Members could also enjoy a taste of her favorite brownies, donuts, and juice which were set up in the lobby.
Wednesday was Memories Day, which was filled with laughs and tears as pictures from over the years were placed around the office for Anita, staff, and members to enjoy. A photo booth was placed in the lobby to create new memories of Anita’s last week.
Thursday was Dive into Retirement Day – a day to send off Anita and congratulate her on retirement! FSU Credit Union management team and the staff of our Pensacola branches gathered to enjoy a luncheon in honor of Anita at the Main Branch in Pensacola.
Friday was our second Member Appreciation Day of the week! The credit union wanted members to know just how much they are appreciated. Balloons and morning goodies were placed out in the lobby for members to enjoy. Anita made a special request to make time for the membership – as she always did – on her last week with the credit union.
Thank you, Anita, from all of us at the GPCE Credit Union and FSU Credit Union families.

GPCE Credit Union - A Division of FSU Credit Union joined forces with our FSU Credit Union branches in Tallahassee to help raise money and awareness to help fight Dravet Syndrome. One of our fellow employees knows first hand about this debilitating condition within his own family.
"Words can’t express my sincerest gratitude for the overwhelming support. Life with any debilitating disease can, at times, make you feel isolated and discouraged as if you are in the battle alone. Moments like these remind me that there is an army of people behind us, cheering Amelia on. One day when she is older, her heart will be as moved as ours is now knowing how many people cared for her. Moreover, Amelia’s page has raised almost $900, all of which goes to help fund research and support from Dravet families. Thank you so much for your generosity in making that happen. I am truly blessed to work with such amazing people." - Joshua
Thank you credit union team members! You are making a difference and we are proud to be a part of the purple during Epilepsy Awareness Month.

COVID 19 UPDATE as of 8/01/2020
Our primary goal is to continue to operate the credit union with the health and safety of our members and employees foremost yet causing the least amount of inconvenience.
All credit union branch lobbies are open during normal operating hours. Effective June 26, 2020 the City of Pensacola issued a mandate requiring face coverings for all businesses within the City of Pensacola limits therefore, a face covering is required for entry to the Pace Boulevard Office. Routine transactions will be routed to the drive-thru.
While face masks are not mandated at this time by Escambia or Bay counties, they are strongly encouraged for conducting business at the Holsberry Road and Panama City offices.
