We've got you covered.
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your checking account to cover a transaction. Traditional Overdraft Protection and Courtesy Pay has you covered.
What is traditional overdraft protection?
Traditional overdraft protection is when a checking account is linked to a savings account or line of credit. Available funds may be transferred from these accounts into your checking account to pay overdraft items.
What is Courtesy Pay?
Courtesy Pay is when the credit union covers an overdraft item versus declining it or returning it to the payee. This saves the embarrassment of having a transaction declined when attempting to pay or additional fees being charged by the merchant for having an item returned. To activate this service, members must first sign the authorization Courtesy Pay Overdraft Protection Plan Form.
Is there a fee for Courtesy Pay?
Yes, we will charge you a fee of $30.00 for each overdraft item we pay.
However, the credit union will not authorize to pay ATM and one-time debit card overdraft transactions through Courtesy Pay unless a member asks us to do so by signing the Courtesy Pay Overdraft Protection Plan Form.
What if I want to authorize the Credit Union to pay ATM and one-time debit card transactions?
Fill out the Courtesy Pay Overdraft Protection Plan Form and return it to the credit union for our records.
